My First Blog Post

Im excited to finally get my personal website up and running. It has taken some time and a lot of effort! So, as this is my first blog post, it seems appropriate to give a brief overview of what I am going to be regularly doing on my website from this point forward.

Blog Posts

This will be the first blog post of many! Each week, I will be blogging about various different topics.

One of these topics will be what I am currently doing in my own coaching. One of the most challenging parts of being a student of sports coaching is putting what you have learnt into your coaching practice. In my experience, this is often a process of trail and error. Yet, there is nothing more pleasing then what you have applied from the academic world works.

Over the last 4 years, as a student I have spent a numerous amount of time researching and exploring different theories, concepts and models in various fields. Over time I have began to comprehend these. I find it interesting to discuss these topics, understanding how these link to the real world, and will be discussing some of theories, concepts and models in my blog posts.

Aswell as discussing topics around these areas, I have also developed my own personal views and beliefs. Which are likely to be reflected within my blogging!

Podcasts

Hopefully to be up and running in the next few months (dependent on the current situation with Coronavirus), I will be conducting a monthly podcast, and hopefully be joined by a guest (or guests) from the world of sports coaching to discuss a range of topics. One thing that I find particularly enjoyable on the masters course is discussing and hearing how other coaches implement different concepts and theories within their own coaching context, and I’ll be looking to bring these discussions from the seminar into my monthly podcasts.

And thats everything to look forward to on my website. Stay tuned folks.
